Sharp launches 46-inch full HD LCD display

Sharp Microelectronics of the Americas, an affiliated company of Sharp, has introduced a new 46-inch full high-definition (HD) LCD module (LCM) for the digital signage market such as electronic signage, gaming facilities, malls, airports, train stations and retail environments, according to DigiTimes Display.

The new 46-inch module uses LCD panel from Sharp's eighth-generation (8G) LCD factory. Supporting full HD resolution, the new LCM delivers a contrast ratio of 1,800:1 and a response time of 6ms. In addition, the display supports 16 million colors, a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 450-nit brightness and a 176-degree viewing angle.
