| SEOUL, Korea (AVING) -- <Visual News> Advanced countries around the globe are taking steps to promote LED lighting. In Korea, the Government has announced its strategy to make the domestic LED industry a new locomotive of business growth in the 21st century. Contributing to the promotion of that strategy, LED EXPO & OLED EXPO 2011 will be held at Il San KINTEX from June 21-24, 2011. The event will run concurrently with the first annual presentation of International DID (Digital Information Display) EXPO.
Now in its ninth year, LED EXPO & OLED EXPO 2011 is organized by LED EXPO.com (EXPONU), KAPID (Korea Association for Photonics Industry Development), KLEDA (Korea LED Association), KOTRA, and KINTEX.
The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, GyeonGi-Do, Goyang City, Paju City, KOPTI (Korea Photonics Technology Institute), OIDA (Optoelectronics Industry Development Association), JLEDs (Japan LED Association), PIDA (Photonics Industry & Technology), and CALI (China Association of Lighting Industry).
Since its launch in 2003 as the worlds first "LED only" promotion event, the EXPO has grown more than 20 percent year. It has been designated as a "promising trade show" by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and is certified by UFI (Union des Foires Internationales).
More than 60 percent of exhibiting companies return to the EXPO each year. Returnees from 2010 include Kumho Electronic, Vissem Electronics Co. LTD., Fine Technix, Star Net Co. Ltd., LUMENS Co. Ltd., Jaejin Lighting Pole, Kumyoung, KMW Inc., AsTEK Inc., Amoluxe Co. Ltd., Young Dong Techwin Co., Ltd. and King Bright among others.
New exhibitors registered for the 2011 event include Korea-based companies like GE Lighting, Aixtron, JUSUNG Engineering Co. Ltd., SAMIK Electronics Ind. Co. Ltd., Young Dong Techwin Co. Ltd., and AUK Corp. New international exhibitors include LED-EVER TECHNOLOGY LTD from China, Evans Analytical Group from the USA, Tokuyama and MITSUMI ELECTRIC from Japan, GAT Electronics from Taiwan, and WAI CHI Opto Technology Ltd. from Hong Kong.
LED product exhibits featured in the EXPO are LED Chips, LED lighting, green lighting, packages and modules, LED applications, power supply, outdoor advertising displays, etc. OLED industry product exhibits include AMOLED, PMOLED, FPD, LCD, PDP, panels, displays, parts and equipment.
Digital Information Display Expo will be added to the existing format in 2011 to highlight business opportunities and technology developments in the rapidly growing application of LED lighting to outdoor advertising –including 3D applications.
Professional seminars led by prominent academic and industry speakers, and one-to-one business matchmaking services provide market insight and business opportunity to the participating companies and attendees.
