POCO LED (CEO Nam-suk Hur, www.posco.co.kr) participated in Intl LED EXPO & OLED EXPo 2012 held at KINTEX, KOREA on June 26-29 and showcased semiconductor LED lamp(Bulb) as the type of AC direct coupled.

Posco LEDs AC LED bulb doesn need any converter which converts DC to AC, differently from existing one, so energy efficiency, reliability, safety and price competitiveness are improved.

AC LED Bulb has log lifespan with low failure rate. Installation is simple with light weight and its safe without a fire danger. Also it cuts Co2 emission without converters additional power consumption.

"Commercialization of LED illumination has been postponed even though it has many advantages. But POSCO LED succeeded in improving performance and reducing cost. So LED illuminations dissemination will accelerate and Governments active political supporting for small and medium manufacturers are necessary" said Nam-suk Hur, CEO of POSCO LED.

Meanwhile, The 10th Intl LED EXPO & OLED EXPO (www.ledexpo.com) is the Koreas largest LED Expo which matches buyers and related industry people.

250 companies from 13 countries participated in this exhibition as 700 booths-scale to exhibit Chip LED, LED Lamp, LED Signal Displays, Green Lighting, LED Process Technology and others. And there will be varied events such as LED/OLED exporting consulting with big buyers, Intl LED and Green Lighting Seminar 2012, Government Awards Ceremony for New technology development superior companies and others.
