Taeyoung Optics participated in the International Light Convergence EXPO 2021 held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Ilsan from October 13th (Wed) to 15th (Fri).

Founded in 1991, Taeyoung Optics is a specialized company that produces optical components and products which are like the eyes of the lighting industry. Various optical products are provided to customers through self-design, manufacturing, coating, and assembly processes. For the production of the highest quality products, a research and development center has been established that will identify customer needs and supply various optical products through advanced technology.

Hyun-Joon Eom, Director of Taeyoung Optics, said, “The company started as a lens coating business and now provides all processes from lens production to assembly in-house. During this exhibition, we mainly exhibited IR lenses and laser lenses, and we also provide ITO windows for military defense.”

Based on new coating materials and technologies, Taeyoung Optics supplies several essential products in the space and defense industries. Technologies that have gone through IR coatings are reflection-free finishes, beam splitters, near-infrared (NIR), and far-infrared (FIR) for mirrors and filters.

Its strengths include customized coatings in a set number through state-of-the-art coating equipment, military products of high quality/customer satisfaction, thorough testing considering Mil-Spec and internal conditions for stable durability, and laser coatings that are not easily damaged and have low absorption.

Eom added, “We are preparing to supply parts to semiconductors and medical devices as a future plan.”

‘International Light Convergence Expo 2021’ organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, LED Industry Forum, and KOTRA and managed by the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership, will be conducted by integrating the 19th International LED&OLED EXPO and PHOTONICS+LASER EXPO.
