Panasonic (www3.panasonic.biz/em/e) displayed the LED package reflector resin "Full Bright" at the 13th International LED & OLED EXPO 2015 (LED EXPO 2015 for short), which lasts for four days from Tuesday the 23rd to Friday the 26th at KINTEX in Ilsan.
"Full Bright," a forming material for plastic sheets and polypropylene resin for films, is an LED package reflector resin. The company showcased high-reflecting thermosetting resin, including the UP CE6000 and PP MBG series, a light-reflecting sheet, and thermoplastic resin "PP," which enables film forming.
The "FULL BRIGHT PP" can be actively used for external LEDs, as it is resistant to UV, high temperature and humidity, and chemicals. Through all that, it maintains high degree of reflectivity.
Panasonic reported that the product has light reflectivity of more than 94% in a 120℃ environment after 2,000 hours. This was part of a UV environmental test, with the company`s own high dispersion technology used for thermoplastic resin.
Moreover, through high dispersion and high flow technology, the company was able to develop PP resin suitable for the extrusion molding of light-reflecting sheets and film.
In order to enhance light efficiency of LED lighting, reflectors are installed around the light source. Compared to existing PET type resin, the PP material improves durability and reduces weight.
The 13th International LED & OLED EXPO is the largest exhibition that integrates lighting, equipment, components, and materials of LED and OLED. Two hundred forty companies from 13 different countries are running 550 booths.
Furthermore, it is expected to provide an opportunity for company officials and buyers to communicate with each other, and encourage the development of the domestic LED industry. A variety of events are on tap, including the 5th LED Industrial Forum, Export Counseling for invited foreign buyers, and High Technology Development Companies Government Award Ceremony.
