Major LED Companies like Kumho Electric, Feelux, Panasonic, and Everlight in Presence!
The 13th International LED & OLED EXPO 2015 (LED EXPO 2015 for short), the nation`s largest LED event, started on June 23 at KINTEX.
The exhibition will last until Friday the 26th. Seventy industry officials, including Park Il-jun, the director of the Industry Policy Office of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy; Park Myeon-gu, the CEO of Kumho Electric; No Si-cheong, the CEO of Feelux; Park Dong-uk, the director of the Korea Photonics Technology Institute, graced the event with their presence.
After the opening ceremony, the guests listened to presentations about the current state and projects of the Korea LED convergence industry. They were prepared by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology at the promotion center for LED Convergence New Industry Creation R&D.
The 13th International LED & OLED EXPO is the largest exhibition that integrates lighting, equipment, components, and materials of LED and OLED. Two hundred forty companies from 13 different countries are running 550 booths. This event is expected to provide an opportunity to understand the present state of the LED industry. To secure global competitiveness, diverse events, including the 5th LED Industrial Forum and Export Counseling for invited foreign buyers, are also held.
Domestic companies, including Kumho Electric, Feelux, Jungho Group, Yuyang D&U, Haechan, EPKOREA, ITSWELL, Hanyang Semiconductor, ICEPIPE, KOREA SUNLED, Evernet Electronics, and foreign companies, such as Technical Consumer Products Inc. from the U.S., EVERFINE and HANGZHOU SKY-LIGHTING from China, and EVERLIGHT ELECTRONICS from Taiwan, participated in the exhibition and are showcasing their products.
Moreover, a pavilion for the government R&D showcase was prepared in the exhibition hall, and R&D results of participating organizations and companies are being displayed.
Many organizations participated in the LED Convergence Industry Hub Construction Project. Participating organizations include the Korea Photonics Technology Institute, the Korea Association for Photonics Industry Development, the Korea Advanced Nano Fab Center, the Korea Institute of Lighting Technology, the LED-Marine Fusion Technology Research Center, the LED-IT Fusion Technology Research Center, the LED Agri-Bio Fusion Technology Research Center, Jeju Technopark, the LED-Bio Fusion Technology Research Center, and the LED-National Defense Convergence Technology Research Center. Furthermore, various companies and organizations, including the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology and the Korea Association for Photonics Industry Development, participated in OLED-related events.
The exhibition is expected to have much appeal to industry officials and professionals. The events will look to analyze the future prospects of the LED and OLED industry. The events include the 5th LED Industrial Forum, Export Counseling for invited foreign buyers, and High Technology Development Companies Government Award Ceremony.
