The nation`s largest LED Festival `International LED EXPO & OLED EXPO 2013′ has opened its door today (25th) for 4 days at the KINTEX Center.

Entering the 11th year of the expo, it plans to provide a strategy for the current state of the LED, OLED Lighting, equipment, parts, materials and research institution by gathering in one place and further discussing path it should take for the future of the industry.

The demand for LED light is gradually expanding in the overseas market. Combined with the world economic recovery, energy policy and regulations of the relevant market, the growth rate is expected to be faster. Due to the 4% increase in electricity rate and the government`s policy support, LED related companies are receiving the attention from the economy.

Now in its 11th year, LED EXPO and OLED EXPO 2013 runs from June 25 -28 and, as in the past, features leading manufacturers of LED and OLED lighting, components, packages and modules, panels, and processing, inspection and measurement equipment. More than 300 companies filling 700 booths are expected for this year`s exhibition.

Oversea companies including Everlight, Rubicon Technology, Lam Research, JUROPOL Sp.Zo.o., APEKS, EDIL and other leading companies of the LED industry.

The `Optronics Expo 2013` displaying optical LED, FPD, optical films, solar, laser, and production/manufacturing of optoelectronics is also being held concurrently.

The three-day market and technology conference, which runs concurrently with the LED EXPO and OLED EXPO, has long been a signature component of Korea`s leading industry gathering for LED and OLED manufacturers, researchers, and thought leaders.

This year, a keynote by Wolfgang Andorfer, Chairman of the GLA and Senior Director for Solid State Lighting at OSRAM are planned. Day 1 of the conference also features regional market reports by senior executives from other member organizations of the GLA Board, including the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI), Taiwan Lighting Fixture Export Association (TLFEA), the Japan Luminaires Association (JLA), and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).

The conference will also highlight recent technology developments and future prospects of LED and OLED products from some of the top academic and industry researchers in the world.
