DOE publishes Multi-Year Program Plan for solid-state lighting

The US DOEs Solid-State Lighting program has published a 129-page document outlining its current status and future objectives. reports LED Magazine.

As part of its Solid State Lighting Program, the US Department of Energy has published the 'Solid-State Lighting Research and Development Portfolio: Multi-Year Program Plan FY07-FY12.'

A PDF copy of the report (3 MB) may be downloaded from the publications section of the SSL website.

The DOE SSL R&D Portfolio Multi-Year Plan provides a description of the activities that the Department will undertake in the period of FY07 through FY12 to implement its mission.

The document includes the following:

• an overview of the status of SSL technology

• the current DOE SSL portfolio

• the technology R&D plan

• the SSL portfolio management plan

• the SSL portfolio evaluation plan.
